Experience:

My Professional Theatrical Experience is listed below followed by my Teaching Experience: 

  • Executive Director - Willmar Community Theatre, Willmar, MN Responsible for all areas of operation of a rural, renoun community theatre from front-of-house to backstage.  Produce six productions yearly and one children's offering.
  • Executive Director - Struthers Library Theatre Warren, PA.
    • Responsible for all areas of operation of this historic 
    • 120 year old theatre including venue management,  
      presenting and producing, fund raising and development,  
      marketing and public relations, board development and  
      not-for-profit procedures.
  • Grant Writer - Sedona Cultural Park  Sedona, Az.
    • Was responsible for grant writing for outdoor venue featuring 
    • summer performing events and annual international film festival.
  • Assistant General Manager - SummerArts 2000 School of Performing Arts, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ. 
    • Was responsible for entire operation of two areas of performing arts, Spectrum Series, an on-going visiting artist series plus a professional summer theater, SummerArts 2000. Duties include marketing, public relations, community relations, contract negotiations for visiting professional artists, budgeting, staff supervision, office management, fund raising, coordination of promotions of Department of Theater and Music events.

Event Coordinator: 

  • Michigan Festival Michigan State University, MI.
    • Assisted with the entire planning, fund raising, marketing, talent and venue operations of the 1st annual Michigan Festival. Arranged for merchandise sold in booths for event. Worked with vast volunteer adult community and student paid staff. Arranged for marketing of entrance fee identification ‘buttons’ sold throughout entire state
Outdoor Venues: 
  • Please note my producing experience with outdoor venues such as the Michigan Festival. One of the venues that I operated at PCPA Theaterfest was an outdoor theater in Solvang, California. With New York City Opera, I worked at Wolftrap Farm Park in Virginia and an outdoor venue on the Stamford campus in Northern California. 
Director of Marketing & Public Relations: 
  • PCPA Theaterfest, Santa Maria, CA.
    • Handled all areas of marketing, public relations, theater and house management operations, box office management, for nationally renown regional theater in two locations, Santa Maria and Solvang, CA.
  • Supervised staff, created and worked with budgeting, assisted with general 
  • management of theater, handled publications, brochure creation, worked with media, supervised volunteer fund raising efforts with C.A.S.T., a support group operating out of five cities. Worked with Director of Development on  
    fund raising.
Theater Manager: 
  • Department of Theater Arts, California State University, LA
    • Coordinated marketing, public relations, publications, house and box office management for theatrical productions. Worked with local media. Raised not-for-profit donations for Department. Worked on campus event planning and marketing with Student Union and Office of the President.
